The guild library is a valuable and growing resource for members, featuring the latest polymer clay-related publications and many older reference books by polymer clay experts and innovators. The library is supported by guild funds, book donations, and funds received from overdue fines and rental fees. Acquisition suggestions from guild members are welcomed.
Borrowing library materials
Library materials are available for check out during monthly guild meetings.
Borrowers must be a member for three full months before borrowing from the library.
Members may borrow three items per month, only one of which may be a DVD.
Books and periodicals
May be borrowed by current members for one month at no charge.
Late fee is $2.00 per item per month.
Maximum late fee is $10 per item.
One DVD may be borrowed by current members at a charge of $3.00 per month for newer titles and $1 per month for all other titles.
If a DVD is not returned, it will simply be rented ($3) for another month. This will be done for only one month.
Members may not borrow from the library if they have not returned overdue items or if they have unpaid library fines.
If a member loses a library item, they must pay replacement value (including shipping and/or sales tax) to the guild. Alternatively, they may purchase it themselves and give it to the guild librarian.
Returning library material
Should be done before the start of the meeting.
If a borrower is unable to attend a meeting, they may mail the book/magazine/DVD to the guild librarian. (Contact the librarian for mailing address.)
