About our Meetings

We are currently meeting both in person and via Zoom. Members are provided a Zoom link to get access to the meeting. In the future we may revert back to in person meetings only. Typically we start with the business portion, followed by a demo by one of our members or special guest instructors. We love our special guest instructors who so graciously demo for our guild! We share tips, tricks, questions, and sometimes do show and tell.

When meeting in person, we begin with everyone grabbing a space and setting up their work area. A supply list is sent out in advance of the meeting so everyone can bring what they need to work on the project that is being demonstrated.

Most people come with a standard kit of supplies, such as a glass surface to work on, a pasta machine, clay, roller, blades, a small tile to back pieces on, alcohol wipes for clean up, etc. It’s a good idea to bring an extension cord if you are attaching a motor to your pasta machine.

Bring a lunch, something to drink, and a snack or chocolate to share (not required).

We conduct a business meeting first, then go into the demo. After the demo everyone has time to practice the demo, play with a creation of their own, or just visit. Feel free to bring an item for show and tell. It can be a new creation, a new tool or toy or a new book. We also do swaps and challenges throughout the year to spice things up.

April and October are Clay Days, a full day that usually includes the following:

• Set up for Silent Auction
• Business meeting
• Demonstration before lunch
• Potluck lunch
• Afternoon demonstration
• Conclusion of Silent Auction
• Hands-on work time
